We vintners share a city and this is, without a doubt, Dusseldorf. Yes, a German city is the cradle of hope. Some new beginnings and relationships are born there. A few shaken hands later, we say goodbye to this edition of the world’s most important wine show: 5,700 exhibitors from 62 countries, gathered in 13 pavilions and around 38,000 visitors from 145 countries.
Our stand was spectacular: large backlit walls with three of the images that most represent us. The vineyard in the central part of the stand aims to describe the passion with which we take care of our vineyards. The quality of our wines is given by the rigorous selection that we carry out after taking the best care of our vines. The vineyard is, without a doubt, a fundamental pillar in our organization. Accompanying the vineyard on each of its two sides are two walls with photos of our Haro winery, the oldest in the heart of the cradle city of Rioja and of the entire Rioja denomination of origin! In one, the façade of the Palacio de Tejada, from 1733, and in another, the caves that linked the hill of Santa Lucía with the Plaza de la Paz that were built so that the Kings could escape from the city in case of war. These caves are the ones that preserve today our Reservas and Gran Reservas.
