Gonzalo de Berceo, was a 13th century monk and poet who lived in the Suso Monastery. He is considered the father of Spanish language. A pioneer in the use of this language, he dared to write the first verses in Spanish in which he also used wine as the main theme.<\/p>\n
\u00abQuiero fer una prosa en rom\u00e1n paladino,<\/em> Gonzalo de Berceo is also one of the most recognized brands of the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin. A historic wine that we make from vineyards that are over 50 years old. Three varieties are part of this wine: Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano. In the winery it is matured and aged in barrels for at least 12 months. Subsequently, we refine our wine in the bottle until it reaches its maximum splendor.<\/p>\n Gonzalo de Berceo Crianza is a wine made with the Tempranillo, Garnacha and Graciano varieties with selected grapes from our best vineyards over 50 years old and subsequent aging in barrels for at least 12 months.<\/p>\n With an intense red color, its aromas on the nose are marked by tones of ripe red and black fruit with notes of undergrowth and spicy and toasted nuances due to its aging in barrels. On the palate it is an elegant and round wine with velvety tannins.<\/p>\n
